You can’t take your new home for a test drive

You need to know there aren’t any nasty surprises waiting for you. But it can be hard to make informed decisions when buying a new home because it’s such an emotional experience.

That’s why we’re here – to give impartial advice so you know you’re making the right decision and you’re as informed as you can be.

We both hope we don’t find any major issues, but if we do, it’s better you know now while you have options.

Don’t let your home survey delay the buying process even longer. Get booked in now.

How does a home survey work?

  • Step 1

  • 1. Your FREE quote

We’ll agree which survey you need, go through the terms and conditions, then you’ll get a FREE quote so you know how much your home survey will cost.

  • Step 2

  • 2. The survey

Nothing for you to do here – leave us to arrange access to the property directly with the seller or estate agent.

Once on-site, we’ll assess all aspects of the property for you – giving you an assessment of any repairs that may need to be done (and an idea of the timescales they’d be needed).

  • Step 3

  • 3. The report

You’ll find the report really easy to understand thanks to the traffic light system, plus, we’ll explain everything in language everyone can understand.

It’s then up to you to decide how worried you are about the issues we find, but we’re always available to chat through anything you’re concerned about.

In some cases, you may be able to take the report to the sellers and negotiate the purchase price based on the costs of the repairs needed.

Or if it’s that bad, we’ll advise against buying the property altogether.
